Photoshoot Q + A
q: Do I need to know anything about modeling for my photos to turn out well?
a: Absolutely not. In fact, most of my clients have either never been in front of the camera, or have only been photographed a few times. For most, this is their first experience with glamour photography. Before and during the shoot, I will guide you through posing and etiquette in order to produce the best shots. Some shots are posed while others are organic. The most important thing is for you to feel beautiful, comfortable and safe to express yourself.
q: Where do the shoots take place?
a: Most shoots take place in clients homes, hotel rooms or other creative locations outdoors. I am here to help you brain storm and find the best location(s) for your shoot. All I need to shoot is natural light.
q: How long does it take to receive my proofs?
a: Most clients receive fully edited proofs within 2-3 weeks of the photoshoot. Rush is available.
q: How much advanced notice do you need before a shoot and what time does the shoot take place?
a: If I am available, I can be ready to shoot the following day. Since I use natural light, I like to end my shoots at sunset. Shoots can start anywhere from 9am and onward.
q: After I book my shoot date, what happens next?
a: After your date is set, we will start brainstorming ideas for your shoot. What is your style? Do you like black and white edgy, feminine romantic, etc? I then create a custom Pinterest board of ideas encompassing what ideas we have discussed that serves as a inspiration board.
q: What do I wear to my shoot?
a: Plan on bringing three outfits to your photoshoot. I love my clients to get creative and have fun! I like at least one bodysuit and a robe but it's really up to you. I am happy to also include links to items I think would be great for the shoot in your Pinterest board so that you may purchase them before the shoot.
q: I don't know how I feel about posing nude. What is the deal with that?
a: Posing nude or partially nude is 100% up to you and what sort of images you would like. I always leave that up to my clients and would NEVER use this type of photography in my portfolio unless I receive a model release and the client is ok with it. There are plenty of ways to take sexy type photography without taking clothes off or only taking some pieces off and covering those parts in the photograph.
q: Do you travel for shoots?
a: Yes! I am based in southern california/paris france but am available for travel worldwide. I lovvvveee to travel!
